Mac Installs

Up to date Macs have current drivers for system. Add printer from system preferences::Printers & Faxes Can discover printer via Bonjour or install IP using HP JetDirect port and hostname color-laser.ccber.ucsb.edu

Windows Installs

Win 7 installs that are current have drivers. Just add printer from control panel as normal

Win XP and Win Vista installs should use install disk using the following procedure. Contact Jan Myers for disk.

• Insert CD
• Navigate to computer window
• Click on HP Color LaserJet disk
• click Install Now button
• Accept Terms of Use
• Click Connected via Network
• Click Hostname
  • type in color-laser.ccber.ucsb.edu
• Click install button

Fedora Installs

To fire up a GUI from the command line:

If necessary run sudo, then at the command line:

• system-config-printer
• Add Printer
• Select Device: Network Printer: IPP
• ipp://color-laser.ccber.ucsb.edu/ipp
• click on Forward
• Search for Drivers, select Manufacturer, HP
• Print test page
